When Arizona Grind’s Director Christian Kolesar called me to tell me about his 6’3 Wing Tessa Rhude, I had to come and watch her play. He did not tell me that she was a 2028 until after the first game I watched her back in the Spring.
Rhude is an impressive and well-rounded prospect with a lot of potential. Her combination of defensive versatility and offensive skills makes her a valuable asset on the court. The ability to protect the paint, rebound, and block shots, coupled with her athleticism to guard the perimeter, indicates that she could be a game-changer on defense. Her knack for disrupting passing lanes and blocking shots suggests a strong defensive awareness and anticipation.
On the offensive side, her capability to handle the ball and score from various levels—combined with a solid work ethic and basketball IQ—points to a player who can contribute significantly in multiple ways. As she continues to develop and refine her skills, it’s clear why you anticipate her being highly sought after in the 2028 class. Her high ceiling for improvement, along with her current abilities, makes her a promising prospect for the future. The staff at San Jose State University recognize her potential and evaluations from high reputable scouts and analysts. The coaching staff extended Rhude with her first division 1 offer. I anticipate more universities to get involved as she is a top prospect in the 2028 class per GC3 Hoops Power 5 Rankings.
