In a class stacked with elite backcourt talent, Elleigh Molinar of Perry High School continues to separate herself as one of the premier guard prospects in Arizona’s 2028 class. While her in-state performances have already been impressive, it was her showing on a national platform that truly solidified her status as a rising name in recruiting circles.

This past August, Molinar participated in the Gems In The Gym Fresh Faces showcase, a prestigious national event hosted by Kameo Williams. Known for bringing together top-tier prospects from across the country and providing unmatched exposure, the event has become a proving ground for players looking to elevate their profiles. It was there—against high-level mid and high-major competition—that Molinar delivered a strong statement. Her performances stood out not just to me but to multiple national scouts in attendance, firmly putting her on the map as a legitimate Division I prospect.

Molinar’s game is defined by poise, craftiness, and basketball IQ well beyond her years. She operates with the confidence and control of a true floor general—dictating tempo, reading defenses, and striking when opponents make the slightest mistake. She never forces the action, instead letting the game come to her and making precise, calculated reads that keep defenses guessing.

Offensively, Molinar is a versatile weapon. She can knock down the three-ball with consistency and range, but she’s equally dangerous when attacking inside the arc. Her body control, footwork, and finishing ability allow her to convert tough shots in traffic and create midrange looks when the defense collapses. This dual threat makes her a nightmare to guard and a reliable offensive engine for any team she leads.

I fully expect Molinar’s recruitment to gain significant momentum in the coming months. College coaches would be wise to get involved early, as I project her to be at minimum a mid-major plus prospect with the potential to rise even higher. As she gears up for a big season with Perry, Molinar is without a doubt one of Arizona’s most intriguing and promising backcourt talents to watch.
