Seton Catholic has been a dynasty in Arizona High School Women’s Basketball. The program is led by one of the all-time greatest coaches in Karen Self. Coach Self has been leading the program for over 30 years. In her three decades at Seton, she led her team to 12 State Championships, 5 Runner-Up, 17 State Championship Appearances, and three 3-Peats (97-99, 10-12, 16-18). Besides the success on the court, Coach Self is dedicated to ensure her student athletes become productive members of society. She has shaped many lives in her career. It was announced by USA Basketball that Coach Self has been selected as a Trials Court Coach to assist in evaluating players preparing for the FIBA Americas Championships in June. This is a huge honor as one of our state’s coaches will be involved in the preparation process for the teams representing our country in the FIBA Americas Championships. I am excited for her and grateful for all she has done to influence and impact women’s basketball here in Arizona and around the world. Good luck and safe travels Coach!
