The GC3 Hoops FAB100 was the premier individual showcase for women’s basketball prospects wanting to gain valuable exposure in the highly competitive college recruiting market. This event was a critical evaluation period for the 2028 Arizona Class Ranking. There were 12 colleges and universities in attendance.
Athletes checked in then participated in a skills clinic led by the staff of Chandler Gilbert Community College. Parents were then treated to a seminar put on by Chris Rivers and Anthony Ray. Chris Rivers has an impressive resume as he has spent decades in numerous roles throughout the basketball industry. Most notably as an Executive for Reebok/Adidas concentrating in the grassroots division of both organizations. Chris shared a wealth of knowledge and experience to help parents attain an understanding of the recruiting process and how to support their student athlete.
Anthony Ray has quite an impressive resume himself as he has been one of the most respected NCAA Scouts on the West Coast over the last few decades. Anthony has been involved with players such as Isaiah Thomas and Jerryd Bayless. His wealth of experience and wisdom with student athlete college recruitment is second to none. Anthony shared his experiences in handling the challenges of the recruitment process for families as he has guided hundreds of families through the process over the years.
Other important people in attendance include regional evaluator Vincent Lombardi and myself. Lombardi has been a prominent figure in Southern Arizona over the last several years where his club program has developed top tier talent such as Achol Magot (Texas Tech), Gianna Pritchett (Life Pacific University), Zeneida Zamora (University of the Southwest), Destyni Payan (Park University), Yazmin Mendoza (Park University), Amelie Buffil (Pima College), Mirella Funari (Wellesley College), and Zoe Duggan (Vanguard University).
Upon retiring from coaching, Lombardi decided to utilize his experience and expertise to give back to the game and community by becoming an evaluator and providing exposure to athletes in the Southern Arizona Region.
For those who do not know, I have been evaluating talent on a National Level covering the West Coast to include New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Hawaii. Prior to launching my own platform I have worked for respected publications such as Arizona Preps,
Here are a few testimonials from parents and coaches:
“The FAB100 exceeded our family’s expectations of a typical showcase. This event was more of an experience that taught our family about the recruiting process, how to instill confidence and life skills in our student athletes. George is a class act and the best in the business, we look forward to attending the FAB100 again next year,” Rob Rosado (Father of Jada Rosado).
“The Inaugural FAB100 event was a tremendous addition to our recruiting calendar. We were able to see talent from all over the state in one place across multiple classes. With the college and high school schedules being almost identical, it becomes nearly impossible to see players who are located far from our campus at times. This event solved that to help us pinpoint some of the top prospects. From skill sessions to games, this event had it all,” Joe Bonham (Associate Head Coach Scottsdale College)
“The FAB100 was a tremendous event, and it has a ton of potential to grow even more. The players were able to get a skill workout, sit down and learn from some really bright individuals in a classroom seminar and then compete against one another in live scrimmages. The atmosphere was super positive and I know for certain each player was able to showcase who they are to a lot of college coaches. GC3 and his staff had everything operating smoothly and organized. Without a doubt this event will explode in the next few years, “ Fletcher Brown (Head Coach Chandler Gilbert College)
