Basketball has always been more than just a game to me—it’s a powerful vehicle for growth, connection, and life lessons that extend far beyond the court. Through this game, we build relationships, develop resilience, and learn discipline, accountability, and teamwork. Those values stay with us long after the final buzzer sounds, shaping who we become in life.

It’s been some time since I last wrote on this platform, and that pause has been intentional. Life required my attention in different areas, and I made a commitment to prioritize my physical and mental well-being. Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to travel, reset, and reconnect with what matters most—especially spending meaningful time with my family back home in Hawai‘i. That time away has been refreshing and has given me a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.

During this period, I’ve also continued to grow within the basketball space. I’m excited to share that I’ve taken on a role with Prep Girls Hoops as an evaluator, which has been an incredible opportunity to further contribute to the game while helping bring visibility to talented athletes. I will continue to produce basketball media and coverage across both platforms, staying true to my mission of telling stories and providing exposure.

At the same time, I’ve been fully invested in expanding the GC3 Hoops Events Circuit. What started as a vision is continuing to evolve into a platform that serves youth athletes not just locally, but on a regional and national level. The goal remains the same—create meaningful opportunities for players to compete, be seen, and grow.

In addition to our events, we’ve launched the Hunger 4 Greatness Basketball Club Program, which is actively serving athletes across numerous communities throughout Arizona. This program is built on development, exposure, and mentorship, providing a structured pathway for athletes who are serious about taking their game to the next level.

My staff and I also continued refining the GC3 Stars program, which is dedicated to serving Polynesian athletes. Through participation in major platforms like the Tribe Athletics Native American Nationals, these student-athletes are gaining valuable exposure in front of college coaches while representing their culture with pride. It’s about more than basketball—it’s about creating access, opportunity, and a national stage for underrepresented talent.

On a personal note, I am currently going through a major career transition, stepping away from education after years of service. It’s a decision that wasn’t made lightly, but one that aligns with my long-term vision and purpose. I’ll be announcing my next chapter in the coming weeks, and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead.

To everyone who has supported me along this journey—coaches, players, families, and colleagues—thank you. Your trust and belief in what I do has never gone unnoticed. We are just getting started, and I truly believe the best is yet to come.
