During one of the biggest weekends in basketball, The Experience delivered exactly what its name promised—an unforgettable opportunity for young athletes to learn, compete, and be seen on a major stage. Hosted at AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, this elite youth girls basketball camp took place alongside the excitement of the NCAA Women’s Final Four, bringing high-level energy and attention to the next generation of players.

From the moment campers stepped into the gym, the focus was clear: development, exposure, and competition. Players were guided through skill development sessions designed to sharpen fundamentals, improve basketball IQ, and build confidence. Whether it was ball-handling, decision-making, or game-speed execution, every drill and teaching moment was intentional.

But what truly separated The Experience from other camps was the level of exposure. Campers had the rare opportunity to compete in front of some of the most respected evaluators and scouts on the West Coast. In attendance were Gems In The Gym founder Kameo Williams, Ball-N-Prep’s Prentice Beverley, along with GC3 Hoops. Between these platforms, the collective reach spans hundreds—if not thousands—of evaluated student-athletes, making this setting invaluable for young players looking to get on the radar.

Throughout the day, campers competed in live game settings, applying what they learned in real time while being evaluated by experienced eyes. It wasn’t just about talent—it was about effort, coachability, and understanding the game. For many, this was their first true exposure to that level of scrutiny, and they embraced the moment.

What made the event even more impactful was its accessibility. The Experience was completely free for all participants—removing financial barriers and allowing every athlete, regardless of background, the chance to benefit from high-level instruction and visibility. In today’s landscape, that kind of opportunity is rare and speaks volumes about the mission behind the event.

A special thank you goes out to James Singleton and the entire staff at AZ Compass Prep for opening their doors and providing a first-class environment for the camp. Their support helped create a platform where young athletes could thrive.

At its core, The Experience wasn’t just a camp—it was a statement. A statement about access, development, and the importance of creating real opportunities for young female athletes. And if this event is any indication, the future of girls basketball on the West Coast is in very good hands.
