After an impressive 28-3 season, an AIA Open Division State Championship, and a National Semi-Finalist Finish at the State Champions Invitational. Coach Dave Williams steps down at Desert Vista. Coach Williams has done an amazing job in both the boys and girls programs over the years.
I appreciate his commitment to coaching and mentoring student athletes. His and long time assistant Duane Casey’s support for my platform was pivotal towards the success I endured. I remember during the covid summer when a few strong girls teams were looking for an event, Coach Williams, Coach Casey and a few other coaches were very encouraging and supportive for me to create the 8-team field which grew into the GC3 Hoops Summer Invitational.
I am confident Coach Williams will find another opportunity in his future endeavors. I am sorry to see him leave however I am grateful for all his support for myself, the community and many student athletes’ lives he has impacted in his career. Thank You Coach Williams!
