For decades, Hawaii has been an uncharted territory for women’s basketball prospects. There is an abundance of hidden talent in the islands as culturally the population is extremely competitive. One of the top rising stars is 2027 5’5 Point Guard Justice Kekauoha. Kekauoha has the bloodline as her mom (Shanadee (Cannon) Kekauoha) was one of the top guards to ever come out of Hawaii.

Kekauoha is one of the top guard prospects coming out of the state of Hawaii for the 2027 class. A downhill guard, Kekauoha knows how to strike the iron when it’s hot. She has a solid feel and IQ for the game which helps position her in the right place at the right time to make big time plays. Defensively, she utilizes her explosive athleticism and anticipation to cause turnovers and create transition opportunities.

I like her ability to score and get to the rim at will. Besides being a scorer, she defends at a high level and has phenomenal vision and decision making to dish to open teammates if the defense collapses on her. Kekauoha’s skill set and IQ is so intriguing that Long Beach State offered her. I expect her college recruitment to continue to heat up as she is just scratching the surface of her potential.
