Xavier Prep’s ultra talented Dominique Nesland, joined the 1000 point club on Saturday, November 25, 2023 while her team competed in the Desert Edge Scorpion Shootout Thanksgiving Tournament. Nesland is one of my favorite floor generals in the state and is deserving of more accolades as she continues to add to her resume.
After holding numerous division 1 offers, Nesland signed with High Point University in North Carolina which is a member of the Big South Conference. I believe High Point got a steal in signing Nesland as she is extremely talented.
Nesland is a complete player as she defends, can score at all three levels, and facilitates the offense well. Her high basketball IQ keeps her steps ahead of the competition. The impact she makes on the game is why the Gators are one of my favorites to get to the AIA’s Open Division Semi-Finals. With that being said, Nesland is one of my nominees for Big School Player of the Year.
