The Queenz of the City has always been the premier club event to kick off the Spring Club Basketball Season. College coaches know that they can scout talent there and I have witnessed multiple schools in attendance throughout the event. Besides college coaches, National and Regional Scouts (including myself) have also been in attendance evaluating talent. Here are some of the prospects who stood out in the high school age divisions:
Jaylee Aulds 5’10 Guard Arizona Grind 2025
Aulds is one of my favorite under the radar prospects in the 2025 class. She competes hard on both ends of the floor. I also like her ability to score from all three levels and playmaking ability.
Maya Billan 6’0 Wing Savi 2026
Billan is another sleeper prospect to keep an eye on. She is long and athletic which can pose a matchup nightmare for opponents. Billan has good slashing and finishing ability. Another prospect to keep a tab on.
Kolbi Brooks 5’7 Guard Hoopcode 2029
An impressive athletic guard who has a solid motor and three level scoring ability. Brooks has a great basketball IQ and feel for the game. She will be one of the most sought after prospects in the 2029 class.
Xxylina Flores 5’3 Guard Locked In Elite 2027
Flores is a bucket, she can score from all three levels. An uptempo guard who thrives in transition and makes the right play at the right time. Another sleeper prospect whose stock will continue to rise.
Ava Haney 5’10 Guard Savi 2028
Although only an 8th grader, Haney has the ability, length and athleticism to compete at a high level. I like her quick release and pure shooting stroke. I was impressed and in talking to her, she plans to enroll at Higley High School.
Isabella Illingworth 6’2 Forward Arizona Grind 2027
Illingworth is one of Arizona’s best kept secrets. She is extremely talented, has a great shooting stroke and can score from all three levels. Illingworth uses her size well inside and has amazing touch and footwork. I project her to be a low-major plus as she still has time to develop.
Leila Jones 6’0 Forward AZ Elite 2026
Jones is another under the radar prospect with good potential. She is long and athletic, gets down hill to finish at the rim and cleans the glass. Her athletic ability allows her to play both in the paint and perimeter.
Aaliyah Mack 6’0 Post Hoopcode 2029
Mack is a big time prospect who has tremendous upside. She runs the floor and protects the paint well. I project her to be a sought after college prospect over time. A ton of potential and upside.
Star Nwabiehie 5’10 Forward Locked In Elite 2026
Nwabiehie is an athletic wing who cleans the glass on both ends of the floor. She likes to go down hill to attack the rim. She also has good finishing ability. I like her potential and upside.
Zirah Reid 5’3 Guard Arizona Grind 2026
Reid is one of my favorite point guards, she can score and facilitate. More importantly she is a menace on defense and disrupts her opponents offensive flow. One of the under the radar prospects who will have a big spring and summer.
Annalycia Sandoval 6’0 Post Hoopcode 2029
Sandoval is part of a deep 2029 class here in Arizona. She has a good inside presence, protects the paint and rebounds well. I also like her low post scoring ability. A prospect with tremendous upside and her stock will continue to rise.
Ava Schooler 5’10 Guard Hoopcode 2027
Schooler is one of my favorite combo guards in the 2027 class. She has a high basketball IQ, is versatile to guard all five positions and play both guard positions. Schooler’s stock will rise this spring as she is coming off a solid freshmen campaign at Sandra Day O’Connor where she helped lead her team to a 6A State Championship.
Ava Thompson 5’5 Guard AZ Elite 2029
Thompson is a part of a loaded 2029 class. I like her skill set, especially her tight handle, explosive first step, IQ and ability to impact a game. Although only a 7th grader, she was able to play up in the high school division and still make a huge impact. Another big time prospect to watch for.
