This weekend was eventful as there was a nice collection of talent. Hoopers On1y did a fantastic job in putting together an awesome event. Here are some of the prospects who stood out to me on Day 3:
Janessa Barcello 5’11 Wing Arizona Grind 2025
Barcello is an aggressive wing prospect who is active on the glass, can score at all three levels. I enjoyed watching her compete all weekend, especially how tough and hard she plays everytime she sets foot on the floor. Her stock will heat up into the Spring and Summer.
America Cazares 5’8 Guard Arizona Grind 2026
Cazares is a problem for opponents. She is crafty and can score at all three levels. Her recruiting has been heating up as she put up amazing numbers during her sophomore campaign during her school season. She has been drawing a lot of interests from low and mid major programs. College coaches I would advise to get involved as I anticipate programs to start offering this Spring and Summer.
Shanielle Mallory 5’6 Point Guard Legacy 2026
Mallory’s stock is on the verge of exploding. She is a crafty point guard with a high IQ and great feel for the game. Mallory can get to the cup at will to either finish or distribute to open teammates. She can also score at the mid-range. Her spring and summer should spark an abundance of interests and offers.
Rosa Reid 5’3 Point Guard Arizona Grind 2024
One of the best available unsigned 2024s in Arizona. Reid is a hard nosed defender who looks to make an impact on the defensive end. She can also score from all three levels if forgotten about. I anticipate schools needing a glue player will get involved.
Luz Marian Santos Mas 6’0 Wing Legacy 2026
Santos Mas is one of my favorite wing prospects in the 2026 class. She is extremely athletic with good length. Santos Mas thrives in transition and can stretch the floor to hit the three ball. She has the versatility to guard the perimeter and paint. I expect her to have a huge spring and summer.
MyKeia Vincente 5’6 Guard Arizona Grind 2027
Vincente is a tough guard prospect who can play both the point and scoring guard positions. She has a good motor and athletic ability. I first scouted her when her high school team played against Window Rock. Despite only being a freshman, VIncente made a big impact at the varsity level. With continued development she will be one of the better prospects coming out of New Mexico.
