SoAz Hoops Review

Jai Bogan-Jacobs is fast becoming a big-time recruit in Arizona. Last week, Bogan-Jacobs picked up her first Collegiate offer and it came from Adia Barnes, the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the University of Arizona. And get this….she is only in 8th grade!

Jai has been turning heads on the Youth Club circuit for over two years, and now she is catching the eye of Power 5 Head College Coaches. “I attribute my early success to the way my dad raised me. He put me in multiple sports as a kid, Track, Basketball, and Flag Football.

You can tell she has great athletic skills immediately when you watch her play. What stood out to me when I first saw her play was her ability to handle the ball through traffic with ease, and she always made the right play whether it was a pass, a drive to the basket, or a pull-up jump shot. She made things that were difficult for kids her age seem easy.

Right now she is playing club Basketball for Inspire Athletics (girls), and AZ Phenom (boys). Her plan for High School right now is to attend Campo Verde, in Gilbert, AZ.

Jai has an incredible future ahead of her, and she is just getting started. “My plans are to play in the Nike Circuit. Some goals of mine are playing in and winning Section 7, becoming a Freshman All-American, and becoming Gatorade Player of the year.” All of those goals are extremely challenging and seemingly impossible to attain. However, she is the kind of player that realistically has a chance to accomplish all of those things.

Jai Bogan-Jacobs is a highly driven and motivated young star and I am predicting that she will become one of the highest rated players to come out of Arizona when it is all said and done. If you get a chance, try to see this young star play. She is planning on attending the GC3 Hoops Top Young Gun Showcase in Tucson, AZ on December 6th. We will provide regular updates on Jai and any other College Offers she picks up.
