When I first evaluated Pueblo’s America Cazares a few years ago, I knew she was going to be a special talent. Last Friday to kick off GC3 Hoops Coverage of the 24-25 High School Season, Cazares ignited her team to a statement win over a solid Ironwood Ridge squad. She went off for 48 points and did it from all over the floor.

Cazares is an exceptionally talented shooting guard with a combination of length, athleticism, and scoring ability. She has proven to be a dynamic offensive threat, capable of scoring at all three levels—inside the paint, mid-range, and beyond the arc. Her craftiness on the court makes her a constant challenge for defenders, and if given even a sliver of space, she can drain shots from well beyond the three-point line, showcasing range that extends up to 40 feet.

A clear Division I prospect, Cazares is on the verge of a breakout. As she heads into the spring, her jaw-dropping, video-game-like statistics are capturing the attention of college coaches nationwide. With her combination of skill, versatility, and basketball IQ, her recruiting stock is set to skyrocket, making her one of the most talked-about players in her class. I expect her to land at a mid-major level as she has strong interests from Stephen F. Austin, and Cal-State Northridge.

Cazares also was recently signed as a signature athlete with Pinnacle Sports Group which is one of the West Coast’s top NIL Agencies based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Former University of North Carolina A&T Men’s Head Coach Jay Joyner founded the organization and has quickly jump started managing and marketing student athletes. I expect Cazares to have a breakout season this winter.
