One of the main reasons I love Fresh Faces and the Myles McGowan Classic is the good vibes, atmosphere, and talented student athletes. Event director Kameo Williams, does a phenomenal job in collecting the top talent across the country. I was very excited to see some of the future Fresh Faces compete in a team showcase before the 2028s. Here are some of the prospects who caught my attention:
Kailea Bromstead 2029 Guard GITG Select
Bromstead is a dynamic floor general who energizes the court with her playmaking ability. I appreciate how she facilitates the offense and lets the game flow naturally. I expect her to continue to flourish into her high school and college years.
Nevaeh Burkett 2029 Guard Bay City
Burkett showcases Division I-level athleticism with a strong ability to make mid-range shots and drive to the basket. She’s a major prospect for the Bay City Girls Basketball Program, and I anticipate her stock will soar.
Romaya Farrington 2029 Wing GITG Select
Farrington impressed me with her length and athleticism. She plays with a relentless motor on both ends of the court and consistently looks to drive to the basket. With her strong bloodline, she has the potential to be a standout prospect from Arizona.
AnNya Hardy 2029 Guard GITG Select
Hardy is an aggressive guard who relentlessly attacks the basket. Her athleticism allows her to disrupt passing lanes and generate steals, which she quickly turns into scoring opportunities in transition. She’s definitely a top prospect to watch.
Tatum Prindiville 2029 Guard GITG Select
Prindiville is a skilled playmaker with exceptional finishing ability at the rim. Her knack for breaking down defenders and driving to the basket is impressive. As a three-level scorer, she has the potential to make a significant impact on games.
Amaya Ribbens 2029 Forward GITG Select
Ribbens is a promising forward prospect with impressive rim-running abilities, she has the size and potential to become a surefire Division 1 player. I’m especially excited to follow her career as I expect her to continue to grow and develop.
Faith Thompson 2029 Forward Cal Stars
Thompson is a formidable forward who leverages her size to dominate opponents in the paint. She excels at protecting the rim, grabbing rebounds, and finishing through contact on offense. She’s definitely a rising prospect to watch.
Kellan Thornson 2029 Guard Cal Stars
Thornson is a reliable combo guard who shines in clutch moments. Her confidence enables her to excel under pressure. Offensively, she can score from all three levels and is also a strong defender. She’s a solid prospect with tremendous upside.
Kate Tu 2029 Point Guard Bay City
Tu is one of my favorite floor generals. With a tight handle on the ball, she excels at involving her teammates in the offense. She’s a crucial cornerstone for her team. I like her potential and upside.
Ava Ubaka 2030 Guard Lady Legends
Ubaka is a tall guard with a bright future ahead. Her length and versatility allow her to excel at both guard positions. With ongoing skill development, I anticipate she’ll reach new levels of success.
Alayia Ward 2030 Point Guard Lady Legends
Ward is a fast and self-assured point guard with excellent ball-handling skills. She reads the court effectively and can drive to the basket effortlessly. Keep an eye on her—she has a promising future ahead.
Taylor Ware 2029 Guard Team NorCal
Ware is an athletic guard who excels at a fast pace. Her elite athleticism makes her a formidable threat on both ends of the floor. I’m impressed by her three-level scoring ability and see a high ceiling for her potential.
Payton Webster 2029 Guard GITG Select
An athletic guard who excels in transition, she possesses strong finishing skills at the rim and competes fiercely on both ends of the court. Webster has a great platform and I can’t wait to see her continued development and growth.
