Arizona’s 2028 Class is loaded with talent. Tylaiah Wily is one of the front runners as one of the top floor generals in this class. She had a huge spring and summer playing for West Coast Elite and the GC3 Stars Polynesian All Star Teams. Her court impact, awareness, facilitation, and scoring ability caught a lot of attention from college coaches and scouts all summer long. She enrolled at Gilbert High School and joined a loaded roster led by Aspen McClees.
Gilbert had a bit of movement from their roster in departures of Head Coach Colten Walker (Fort Lewis College), Caia Campbell (PhH Prep), and Juli Loy (PhH Prep). Despite the departures, the Tigers will be led by former Poston Butte Head Coach Savannah Bix and added Malia Moreno (Dobson). The addition of Wily will be very good for Coach Bix as she will have her for the next 4 years.
Wily is an elite floor general with exceptional skills in orchestrating the offense, she excels in creating her own scoring opportunities from all three levels—inside, mid-range, and beyond the arc. Her impressive vision on the court allows her to see and exploit openings, while her sound decision-making ensures that she consistently makes the best plays for her team. Combined with her high basketball IQ, she effectively reads the game and adapts her strategies to outmaneuver opponents and maximize team performance. She will be one of the most sought after floor generals in the 2028 class so I urge coaches to invest early.
