Sage Ridge School in Reno, Nevada recently announced Jon Yarrow Jr. as it’s next Head Women’s Varsity Basketball Coach. This is a big hiring since Yarrow Jr. is an accomplished club coach and leads the largest Indigenous Exposure Series in the World. Sage Ridge isn’t wasting any time to bring in a candidate who has the experience in building a first class program.
I was able to catch up with Coach Yarrow Jr. via phone interview, “I am very excited for this opportunity since the administration is very supportive. They are willing to invest into the tools to build a successful program with upgraded facilities and weight room.” For any coach, hearing the support and investment in the program is refreshing. I have worked alongside Jon over the last 5 years and witnessed both his ability to coach and build an organization.
Jon has been very successful because he creates a plan and executes it with hard work and commitment. He does not cut corners and this opportunity for him leading the Sage Ridge program, will be another endeavor for him to build successfully. I am truly excited to see him build this program from the ground up.
