Royce isn’t just a coach—he’s a competitor with a decorated playing career here are some of his accolades:
High School Stardom (Sunnyslope, Phoenix)
- Won the Arizona Class 4A State Championship as a junior.
- Averaged 30.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 2.9 APG his senior year, posting 30+ points in 13 games and scoring 34 in the state title game.
- Named Arizona Republic Big-School Player of the Year, with a career-high 52-point game.
College Success
- Verbal commit at 14 to Kansas—among the nation’s youngest recruits
- Played for Kansas Jayhawks during the 2010–11 season, contributing to a Big 12 Championship and an Elite Eight appearance
- Transferred to Washington State, where he was a two-year starter:
- Sophomore season: 11 PPG, 2.7 APG, led Pac‑12 in steals and team assists, with a 36-point outing featuring six threes—the most in Pac‑12 since Klay Thompson.
- Junior year: 7.3 PPG, led WSU with 84 assists, second in steals, and recorded a career-high 11-assist double-double
- Sophomore season: 11 PPG, 2.7 APG, led Pac‑12 in steals and team assists, with a 36-point outing featuring six threes—the most in Pac‑12 since Klay Thompson.
- Fifth year at Grand Canyon University while earning a Master’s Degree at GCU

- Played five seasons professionally across Turkey, Poland, Austria, and Slovenia
